afternoon at 3 o'clock, Oct. 19, 1927, Mr. William Naedler Jr. and
Miss Linda Schwantes were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran
Church in Neillsville, Rev. H. Brandt officiating. The bride was
attended by her sister, Miss Marilyn Schwantes of Spencer and Miss
Gladys Bruss of Colby. Mr. Hilbert Naedler, a brother and the
groom, and Mr. Erwin Greeler were groomsmen. The bride wore a
dress of white satin trimmed with rhinestones, a beaded crown and
long silk veil, and carried a bouquet of yellow bridal roses; Miss
Gladys Bruss's dress was of orchid flat crepe, and Miss Marilyn
Schwantes was dressed in white crepe de chine, both bridesmaids
carried sweet peas and roses. Anita Bruss acted as flower girl; she
was dressed in white crepe de chine and carried a basket of sweet
peas. The groom and groomsmen each wore suits of dark blue. After the ceremony
a fine reception and wedding dinner were given at the residence of
the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Greeler, in the
town of York, Clark County, Wis., where she has made her home for a
number of years past. About 75 relatives and friends were in
attendance. One dining room was decorated with white streams of
sweet peas and the other dining rooms with orchid streamers and
sweet peas. The table waitresses were Misses Hilda Schwantes,
Dorothy Pockat, Ermine Schwantes and Myrtle Schwantes. The ushers
at he church were Walter Borde and George Greeler. The groom is the
son of Wm. Naedler Sr. of Pine Valley, Clark County. He grew up on
his father's farm south of Neillsville, and since his school days,
has devoted all his time to helping his father carry on the farm.
He is a steady, industrious young man and has a good standing in
the community. The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Schwantes of Spencer. After the death of her parents she came
to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Greeler in the town of York,
Mrs. Greeler being her mother's sister. Her she grew to womanhood
and lived as one of the family. She is a young lady of charming
personality and is much liked by all who know her. For the present
the young couple will live at the Naedler home, the groom
continuing his work on the farm. They plan to take a short wedding
trip. The following are

Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Schwantes and family, Mr. and Mrs. Emil
Schwantes and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schwantes, all of
Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bruss and family of Colby; Mr. and
